Escher's Dream
While the exterior of this building is but some sort of modern and unimpressive cube, the interior is inspired by Dutch artist Maurits Cornelis Escher's Relativity
lithograph (1953), a labyrinth-like series of staircases crisscross, where the staircases meet at impossible angles. Each of them opens to outside "worlds",
near to identical but obeying to a different "well of gravity". Depending on how you look at it, the very notions of top, bottom, left or right become blurred.

One of the views is a representation from the lithograph. The other sides are an interpretation, trying to complete the architectural design beyond the part
illustrated by the artist.

Tropospheria is a city initiated by a in late 2020, located near the center of the map. Its design was inspired by that of A Town, which was in turn inspired by City.

It is in the sky above Earth, above y=100, making it high enough for non-landing jumpdrive access. It is also sometimes called "T Town".
Buildings
Founder a protected the initial roads but let other people install around.

While the city might have initially been intended to attract people without atmospheric landing privilege,
to park or show their spaceships, other citizens also settled there and built fixed constructions. Without
an imposed urban plan, the city is a disparate assemblage of constructions of different style and
type, which may change over time.

Notable fixed buildings are Cyriax's constructions, including a large dragonfly and several
floating mansions.

</gallery>

In July 2021, Gorlock, claiming that "Tropospheria is no longer a sky city (only)", built Fantasy-under-Tropospheria
right below Tropospheria, connecting the ground surface to the town via Cyriax's "Helix Stair" (The houses are in a style similar to
the House-on-Wheels.) It is also reported he had a part in bees invading a small space between two platforms in the town.

Overview
A small Viking village under the snow.

Notable buildings
As of the original area of the village, from the West (arriving via the Bees Farm as the original settlers) to the North-East,
* Harald's hall: a typical Viking hut with turf on the roof and a central fireplace.
* Grímnir's old forge, now abandoned. Grímnir was also one of the many names of Odin, but what do we really know?
* Sven's barn: often closed, as Sven cares about his cows and sheeps, but he might have their offspring for sale.
* Sauna: the stones deliver the steam, relax and enjoy after a hard day.
* Yggdrasil and the three wells: Yggdrasil was the mythical world tree in the Norse cosmogony, with three sacred wells or fountains at its roots. It was not that uncommon for a large tree, however, to be taken as its image in some places and used as a central gathering place. "By manifesting the sacred, any object becomes something else, yet it continues to remain itself" (M. Eliade).
* Prow and rear part of a broken ship.
* Thorstein's mill and bakery: the miller sells his own products, but the mill and oven are free for everyone to use in his absence.
* Another barn: chickens and rabbits.
* Pigsty.
* Watch Tower.
* Arni's house: cobble master.
* Small fishing hut.
* Freyja and Einar's shop.
* Larger fishing hut, with stables.
* Small warriors' hall
* Odin's temple
* New forge

And a small knarr (Norse merchant ship) is anchored in the bay.

In the North, there is now also a newer quarter of the village, with some large and impressive mansions.

Directions
There might be other ways to reach the village, but this is the recommended tour.

Builders and settlers
* Gorlock founded the village in late 2019
* Peanut expanded it northward in mid-2020

Settlers are welcome to expand the village southward, or eastward (across the bay): There is a Rule Book near the central tree, for instructions. It should basically state that you are invited to respect the theme (medieval viking-type houses, in a winter setup).

Machines, travel boxes, and anything too modern should be hidden from main view, e.g. behind doors or underground. By-passers should be able to wander in the village without noticing them too much, but this rule is obviously weak enough to allow them. If in doubt, you may have a look at the existing automation:
* Flour and bread factory (open for use), with machines hidden in the rear part of the Bakery,
* Wool factory, below the Wool Shop,
* Bag factory, below the Old Forge,
* Cobble and stone factory, below the New Forge,
* Honey factory, bone factory and disparate machines below the Shop.

The only exception is the Viking Lander ship (though, in a way, it is sort of hidden behind walls), which leads among other things to the Mars Viking Base.
lithograph (1953), a labyrinth-like series of staircases crisscross, where the staircases meet at impossible angles.
Overview
A steampunk and/or fantasy-style house on wheels, initiated in Nov. 2020.

"I always fancied these kind of improbable houses (not to say impossible) a lot, so I tried to give my vision of this type of building."

"I basically watched a few videos on similar designs, and even picked the base structure from one example as my starting point... Though it was not on wheels, I felt that it would adapt to my style and vision easily... But of course, these "Let's build!" videos from "another game" do not have the nice slopes and shapes we can get on Minetest and Pandorabox with the saw and the technic CNC, so the design eventually evolved from this inspired base to something slightly different. It also adapted to some of the techniques I had learned when previously working on the Viking Village, resulting in a mix of inspiration and experimentation."

"The main trick here is to start on a quite small base design, and, for each new "floor" which is added, to enlarge their width (with overhangs and side extensions) and to raise their height much more than would normally be required. It culminates with the roofs, which are much larger than usual, being offset by one or two nodes around the structure, and unreasonably higher than normal."

"The ground level is around 12m above sea level, and the upper roof culminates at around 96m high. So I have not counted precisely, but the build should be about 85m high."

Views
"As of Nov. 2020, I have not made my mind yet regarding windows and decoration patterns on the walls -- You know, all the things one does, normally, after having completed a raw building structure... To tell the truth, I somehow like the apparent purity of plain walls, and the sketchy look of the build as it stands. I might of course reconsider this position, and the house might eventually look somewhat different when you visit it... The interior too is not done: I have not settled either on how to best use this narrow but high space in an interesting way, ideally keeping a sense of wonder and mystery that floors and stairs might ruin..."

* Is XP a good measure of anything in that respect?
It might not be best way to do it but currently it is best *usable* general indicator about how well established player is and running XP through log10 also makes XP mostly fair, 2 low XP votes can easily overcome 1 high XP vote.
However there could also be XP cap to further reduce impact of very high XP votes, for example 100k cap could be used. 100k XP is pretty much well established player account.
--SX (talk) 17:43, 15 November 2020 (UTC)SX
* But when is XP measured? At the time of submission (hardly doable I guess, but that could be the most fair), at the end of the event, or at the end of the voting period after the event ended? Or later, when result are assumed at an undetermined time? Just an example I don't recollect the number, but in that period of time I might have done around 50k XP overall... And I'm not the quickest in that domain ;-)
Easy to collect when player votes first time or after voting ends. Collecting before voting starts is complicated.
For current results XP data was collected when contest ended, however with method used (log10 of XP) results would not be different no matter when data is collected.
Changing position requires either another vote or really huge difference in XP, like some millions, as long as player who voted are not fresh near zero XP accounts.

--SX (talk) 17:43, 15 November 2020 (UTC)SX
* Not sure how the XP-based weighting is done here (without knowing which values were used and when), but does it mean that one with more XP would be favored? Shouldn't we favor the player with less XP = So that a newcomer arriving to a tie with an experienced player would get the benefit for his effort: he probably had less resources and still achieved something comparable to someone with possibly more stock and options?
Let's go with lua example, XP based weighting was done like this: assuming voters = { gorlock = 98765, swissalps = 9345678 }
for voter_name, voter_xp in pairs(voters) do score = score + math.log10(voter_xp) end

This does favor newcomers by reducing impact of very high XP players. gorlock vote would be 4.994603068070779 and swissalps vote would be 6.970610813577633.
Also XP weighting is by voters XP not by contestant XP so 1000000 XP contestant does not have any advantage over 0 XP contestant.
Voter XP affects final results: 1000000 XP player adds +6 to score, 100000 XP adds +5 to score, 10000 XP adds +4 to score, 1000 XP add +3 to score, 100 XP adds +1 to score.
If it would be by contestant XP then we probably should favor one with less XP but it is by voter XP and there we should favor established player and possibly drop below 1000 XP votes completely to reduce possible cheating by using multiple sock puppet accounts for voting.

Thanks for the very neat answer.
I didn't suspect at all when reading it that this would be based on _voters_ XP - And it is indeed an interesting way of addressing the concern.
So it favors votes from established players, which is not necessarily wrong.
They have long invested on the server after all, so why not (despite looking like some kind of gerontocracy, lol :D).
Just thinking, maybe I'm wrong, but "build count" score and/or "craft count"), since we have these on the highscore table, could possibly be better than raw XP incl. "dig count" and "inflicted damages" etc. It could even address sock-puppets in an unexpected way actually: doing 1000 XP or whatever other lower limit is set, by just digging and creating big holes, seems doable in a short time frame, while placing blocks is less obvious: At least one could refill the holes they dug, or build a small house; anyhow, it's still better probably that just digging sand beaches to level up ;) Not to say this is likely to happen, there was very few votes here, so my remark is quite theoretical.
Overview
Underground City (or U-City in brief) is, as its name implies, an underground complex around 60m below the ground and which entrance portal is located near the center of A-Town. It was founded around October 2020 by TheFirDragon and others.

→

Settlers
You found a prospectus praising the qualities of Underground City:

"Underground City welcomes you."

"We need settlers, builders and enthusiasts to develop the city further. There's no strict rule, except respecting your neighbors and claiming decently-sized area so that all can expand at their convenience. As for being some 60m below the surface or so, be aware that the city may be found with monsters. Wear armor, and keep in the light!"

"You can make factories and shops, or settle down in the area and make a living space. If you want, you can make rooms for parking spaceships or make a group house with your friends! The possibilities are endless, so consider living in U-City!"

Some places
Library
The monks accept donations of books to eventually fill all their shelves.

If you need books, you can take some, they are intended to be free, for all. But it is also much appreciated if you make donations to the librarian, or even better, place some books on the shelves. It is even better if you share a written book, with some text or poem to read!

<gallery>
</gallery>

It is rumored that the library contains several books related to the infamous Heretic monk. These books might even be on display somewhere. Perhaps can you solve the
Heretic's enigma?

Park and Dungeon
The park and dungeon of the Underground demonstrate the how creative some can get with their building.

The space was creating by a player named grg. It was originally meant to just be a small park with some cool lush environment in the harsh climate of the Underground, but a lot of space was left and so a dungeon was created. The dungeon is a massive structure with 3 lava orb towers, free building blocks, and free food. === Park and Dungeon ===

The dungeon and park are hallmarks of the Under-city, and together with the library, these 2 tourist attractions show just what some players can offer.

* Any new events should be added along with description, basic info and if needed also telemosaic or travelnet.
* Past events info should be cleaned up, however if it could be somehow useful it can stay until space is needed for next event
** event should be clearly marked as not active if related things are not removed after event has ended
** it is possible to use luac and some digiline controlled visual indicators for this, in this case any timer/exec intervals can easily be at least several minutes. would make event management easier and allows events to be marked inactive automatically.

Events that had were linked to hub
Challenge:_Alien
Challenge: Alien had only poster in wall, contents were copied from challenge wiki page.
Hub was not directly linked to spawn back then. Poster at Minigames Hub was most probably useless.
Challenge received 2 entries.

Contest:_Haunted_house
Particle spawners that fit to contest theme around Minigames telemosaic. Wooden long sign "Upcoming contest: Haunted House" attached to gold block behind telemosaic.
Minigames telemosaic from spawn is linked directly to Minigames Hub.
Single poster in wall and besides it contest specific travelnet connected to HauntedHouse network. Poster contents copied from wiki page.
So far, 10 days before deadline when voting started, contest received 11 entries.

Upcoming event (planned)
Add poster that contains basic information about event. Copy wiki page contents (if any) formatted to fit nicely in poster and link to wiki page.
Attach some promotional poster to block behind telemosaic at spawn.
If there's enough time to do it well enough, try this:
- add luac controlled thing(?) to Minigames Hub that displays how much time is left until event is over.
- thing can be text display, row of lightstones, or whatever suitable for displaying countdown or date / time.
- possibly also include event name in big screen, maybe dot matrix.
Things to remember:
- When will voting begin? Should be defined date and preferably countdown timer for that at minigames info and at voting booth.
- Voting should begin just after deadline for accepting new entries but not before.
- How long should voting last, also countdown timer lcd for that. Maybe also visible in voting booth.
Voting computer updates that should be done:
- Fix code to automatically open voting booth at certain time, current method will not redraw main screen after time passed and needs manual reset once.
- Add screen that is displayed before contest application deadline, screen should contain "Apply as contestant"-button and button should add clicker name to list.
Voting screen should display list of contestant names, either dropdown or textlist. Vote button replaces player vote for selected contestant's entry.
That is: no writing of contestant names by hand. Applying to contest should be automatically disabled after deadline and when voting opens (could be in lock screen).
- Minigames Hub LCD, switch countdowns / title automatically between entry deadline/voting deadline.
- Centralized storage for deadline time storage, contest title and description.
This can be used to tell about ongoing contests at different locations and eases voting booth / minigames info updates.
- Change backup storage service, firebase will go behind paywall soon and probably not going to pay for it

Other things that could be linked to hub
<big>?</big>

Things that should not be linked to hub
* Personal travelnets, public or not.
* Shop travelnets / telemosaics.
* Town travelnets / telemosaics unless directly related.
* Anything that is not directly related to missions, events, contests.
* Travelnets where network contain unrelated stations.

Categories
* dangerous
* simple
* adventure
* complex

Maybe use some tag labeling system for missions to give as much useful information as possible in compact form?

Most of this can be changed at any time so building whatever and updating it later probably is not that big problem?

Mesecons / digiline stuff around hub
* Something like that fits well into theme.
* There should not be too much blinking lights but I think some are fine.
* Possibly optimize / check if there potential for optimizations (nodes and/or code).
